PFCU Foundation

Our mission is to empower individuals and communities by equipping them with tools and resources to thrive. Whether it’s through workshops on personal finance, promoting wellness initiatives, nurturing creativity through the arts, or supporting sustainable agriculture, we are committed to making a lasting impact.

Pillars of Giving

Financial Literacy

As a financial institution, PFCU Credit Union recognizes the transformative power of education. The PFCU Foundation awards grants supporting educational scholarships, skilled trades, and youth and adult service organizations that encourage lifelong financial literacy. These efforts equip individuals with the tools to make informed decisions, strengthening families and local economies.

Health and Wellness

The Foundation champions initiatives that promote physical fitness, mental health awareness, and overall well-being. Grant funding supports outdoor recreation, and social service programs such as shelters, directly enhancing the quality of life in our communities.

The Arts

By supporting community theaters, libraries, museums, and other cultural organizations, the Foundation nurtures creativity and vibrant community life. Investment in the arts fosters cultural enrichment and provides opportunities for personal and collective expression.

Agriculture

Understanding the vital role of rural development, the PFCU Foundation invests in projects that increase access to locally and regionally produced agricultural products. Efforts such as farmers markets, community gardens, county 4-H programs, and hunger outreach initiatives ensure food security and sustainable growth for rural populations.

Here to Support the Community

PFCU Credit Union emphasizes community involvement, as highlighted when President/CEO Michele Makley and CMO Robyn Heron appeared on Eight West to announce the launch of the PFCU Foundation and its new philanthropic mission.
